Warren Chase Emerson

Chase Warren Emerson was born at Haverhill, New Hampshire and was educated in New England schools. In his early 20s, he went West with two school friends.

He married Elizabeth Stark in 1840, and settled at West Florence, Ohio to become a school teacher. He established a Debating Society in connection with school work and had a family of six.

He served in the Civil War as Paymaster with the rank of Major. Serving from February 1864 till November 1866, he was then honorably discharged.

He died in Muncie Indiana, November 3, 1890.
